Exceptional collector-condition DAM Maggot Brain MB-71 No. 009, hand built by David Main and dated 25/04/2018.
This is an early Issue 0.1 Maggot Brain featuring carefully selected Philips BC108 silicon transistors and DAM’s take on the classic late-1960s silicon Fuzz Face circuit.
This particular example has excellent provenance. The inside of the bottom plate is hand-inscribed by David Main:

The original MB-71 Issue 0.1 documentation describes the Maggot Brain as DAM’s recreation of the late-’60s Dallas-Arbiter Fuzz Face, built around carefully selected NOS silicon semiconductors.
Sonically, the MB-71 delivers the immediacy, articulation and aggressive attack associated with a great silicon Fuzz Face, along with excellent response to guitar-volume changes and the individual voicing associated with David Main’s hand-built DAM pedals.
CONDITION
Exceptional collector condition.
The pedal is extremely clean throughout, including the enclosure, graphics, controls and bottom plate. The interior is equally clean and has been photographed to document the original circuit, transistor complement, serial number, build date and David Main signature.
