The P16-I Input Module (1U rack)
The hub. Sixteen balanced 1/4" TRS line inputs, each with its own signal and clip LEDs and a sensitivity switch offering +22 dBu, +4 dBu, 0 dBu and -10 dBu — so console direct outs, interface outs, or consumer-level sources all land at the right level. Also includes a 2 x 8-channel ADAT optical input with auto-detect and priority select, with clock sync on ADAT Input A, if you'd rather stay digital out of your interface. Converts everything to 24-bit Ultranet at 44.1/48 kHz with system latency under 1 ms. Internal auto-ranging power supply (100–240 V), no external brick.
The P16-M Personal Mixer
Where the player actually lives. Sixteen channel-select buttons with dual LEDs, individual level and pan/spread per channel, 3-band EQ per channel with sweepable mid, solo and mute per channel, plus global level and EQ and a panic mute. Sixteen storable presets with total recall, so the drummer's mix and the singer's mix both survive teardown. A fully adjustable limiter protects ears and headphones from spikes. The headphone output is high-power and famously "drummer-proof." There's also a mono/stereo line output for feeding a powered wedge instead of cans, and a MIDI In for real-time remote control from an external controller.
Why buy them together: the Cat 5e run from the P16-I carries both the 16 audio channels and power to the P16-M — no wall wart needed, no extra outlet at the drum riser. One P16-I drives up to six P16-M mixers directly, so this is a system you can grow into: add mixers as the band grows, or add P16-D distributors to scale toward 48 stations.
