Designed in collaboration with Wayne Kirkwood (the original designer of the classic 1970s MicMix Master Room XL-305), the AudioScape XL-305R reimagines high-end spring reverberation for the modern studio.
Rather than standard mechanical springs that suffer from metallic "boing" or flutter, the XL-305R utilizes a custom assembly of 12 mechanical springs cut and tuned to an equally tempered log scale. This creates a smooth, complex decay that acts more like a high-end acoustic chamber or plate reverb while retaining organic analog warmth.
